先日、友人が「自分にしかできないことをするために、仕事のやり方を変えた」と話してくれました。その言葉に、大切なことを教わった気がします。

写真もまた、私にしかできない自己表現のひとつです。今この瞬間の光景は、どんなに有名な写真家やAIであっても、その場にいなければ決して捉えることはできません。「自分にしか撮れない、自分らしい写真」を、これからも大切にしていきたいと考えています。

私は長野県長野市で生まれ、18歳まで過ごしました。当時は都会の暮らしに憧れ、身近にある自然の素晴らしさに気づけずにいました。しかし今、改めて故郷を眺めると、魅力的な風景に溢れていることに気づきます。 山菜採りやスキーを楽しんだ志賀高原、夏の賑わいが嘘のように静まり返る秋冬の軽井沢、真夏でも木陰に入れば涼風が吹き抜ける戸隠――。そんな長野の豊かな自然を、これからも写真に収めていきたいです。

A friend of mine recently told me, "I changed the way I work to focus on what only I can do." Their words reminded me of something truly important.

To me, photography is a unique form of self-expression. No matter how famous a photographer may be, or how advanced AI becomes, they can never capture a moment unless they are right there, in that exact second. That is why I want to cherish the photos that only I can take—images that are true to myself.

I was born and raised in Nagano City until I was 18. Back then, I longed for city life and didn't realize how wonderful the nature around me was. Looking back now, I see that Nagano is full of breathtaking landscapes.

From Shiga Kogen, where I grew up skiing and foraging for mountain vegetables, to Karuizawa, which turns beautifully quiet in autumn and winter, and Togakushi, where even in midsummer, the shade of the trees offers a cool breeze. I hope to continue capturing the rich natural beauty of Nagano through my lens.
